Lester Tate was my (Sarah's) great-grandfather. I have just a few memories of him and I'm thankful for this picture (photo credit to @petercunninghamphotography) that depicts him just as I remember.⠀

Lester Tate (born in Maine)was a fisherman from Ingalls Head on Grand Manan. He knew a way of life that doesn't exist today. He understood a sustainable way of living. Take just what you need. We need to remember and learn from the wisdom of these elders. ⠀
